The Tuesday-released, 2 minutes and 37 second teaser tells the tale of a blind French girl, Marie-Laure Leblanc, and a German boy, Werner Pfennig. Marie-Laure seeks refuge with her uncle in Saint-Malo, France, during World War II, after her father is arrested by the Gestapo. Werner, an expert in radio repair, is compelled to enroll in the Nazi military academy and then the military.
During the Battle of Saint-Malo, Marie-Laure and Werner discover faith in humanity and the possibility of hope through a shared secret radio connection. The silent video also depicts the devastation caused by conflict and its effect on humans.

Levy is in charge of the four-part series based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Anthony Doerr.
Dark’s Louis Hofmann plays Werner Pfennig in the limited series, while Aria Mia Loberti makes her debut as Marie-Laure Leblanc. Lars Eidinger of The Last Execution and Andrea Deck of The Devil’s Violinist also perform significant roles in the show.
