On Monday, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his sadness over a road accident in Odisha that claimed the lives of 12 individuals who were participating in a wedding celebration. He stated that his thoughts are with the family members of the victims.
A wedding party bus was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle in the Ganjam region of Odisha, which resulted in the deaths of twelve people and injuries to seven others.
“Deeply saddened by the horrific road accident that occurred in Digapahandi (Odisha) and resulted in the loss of innocent lives. During this time of sorrow, my thoughts and prayers are with the members of their family.

According to the Superintendent of Police in Berhampur, Saravana Vivek M, the accident took place on the Berhampur-Taptapani Road late on Sunday night in the Digapahandi area. It was caused by a collision between the bus that was transporting the wedding party and another passenger car.
When the disaster took place, the group had just finished attending a wedding ceremony in Berhampur and was on their way back to Khandadeuli.
