Tezpur, which is located in Assam, was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 at 10:05 on Friday morning.
The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reports that the epicentre of the earthquake was located 39 kilometers to the west of Tezpur and that it occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
As of now, there have been no reports of either casualties or damage to property.
In other news, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said that the Union Territory of Ladakh was hit by yet another earthquake on Friday morning, this one measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake was felt about 10:23 in the morning.
There have been no reports of any damage coming out of Ladakh as of yet. The earthquake occurred 10 kilometers under the earth’s surface.
