The first game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) took place on Friday at the Narendra Modi Stadium, and it was won by the Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets against the Chennai Super Kings. After being brought in to bat by the captain of Gujarat, Hardik Pandya, CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad produced an impressive 92 runs, which contributed to CSK’s overall total of 178/7.
In their response, the Titans reached their goal in 19.2 overs, with Shubman Gill contributing 63 runs off of only 36 balls. Previously, Gaikwad hit nine sixes despite the fact that wickets were falling at a consistent rate at the opposite end of the field.
The Titans were represented by spinner Rashid Khan (2/26), pacers Mohammed Shami (2/29) and Alzarri Joseph (2/33), all of whom each took two wickets.
