The official trailer for the Netflix and A24 production of the dark comedy series that will be headed by Steven Yeun and Ali Wong and will revolve around road rage has been published.
BEEF is a 10-episode series that brings Yeun and Wong back together in front of the camera. The series follows the narrative of two individuals who feel a tremendous deal of anger toward one another. The official trailer establishes the mood for the series by demonstrating how the tension between the characters played by Yeun and Wong escalates with each passing second. The moment in which Wong’s character Amy is shown pointing a gun at her phone in exasperation is one that lends itself well to the creation of memes, while Yeun’s character Danny looks to exhibit comparable characteristics to those of a pyromaniac. Amy can be overheard saying to Danny, “I have a very full life that I’d love to get back to,” as the topic of retribution is at the forefront of the conversation. I’m going to track you down and steal the few possessions you have.
Jake Schreier is the director of the series, and in addition to Yeun and Wong, it stars Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, Patti Yasutake, Maria Bello, Ashley Park, Justin H. Min, Mia Serafino, and Remy Holt.
BEEF will become available on Netflix on April 6th.
