Grant Bradburn has been designated head coach for Pakistan’s impending series against New Zealand, while Andrew Puttick has been named batting coach. Both positions are only appointed on an interim basis.
Pakistan has appointed Grant Bradburn as its interim head coach.
According to a media notification from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), they are finalizing the names of potential successors after the series. “The PCB will announce the Pakistan team management for the post-New Zealand series after the completion of the relevant recruitment processes,” the statement read.
Bradburn had previously served with the Pakistan team as fielding coach in 2018 and then as the Head of High-Performance coaching before resigning in 2021, coincidentally shortly after Ramiz Raja was elected PCB president.
Abdul Rehman has been appointed “assistant to the head coach,” while Umar Gul has been appointed bowling coach, as a result of a new administration taking control of the board. The pair had also served as coaches during the series against Afghanistan when the revamp was declared in March.
