The construction of the magnificent and heavenly temple of Lord Sri Rama at Ayodhya is proceeding rapidly. By December 2023, the temple building committee will have completed the sanctum sanctorum and installed the idol of Ramlala. Almost 500 years ago, Lord Sri Rama resided in a tent; he currently resides in a temporary wooden temple. Determine how the construction of the temple is proceeding, what is unique about the construction of the temple, and what the big temple of Ramlala (Ram Mandir) will look like.
There will be 5 pavilions at the temple.
The Supreme Court declared in favor of Ram Mandir on November 9, 2020. On August 5, 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi then lay the foundation stone for the construction of the temple. According to the new temple design, there will be five pavilions. The temple will be 161 feet tall, 255 feet wide, and 350 feet long. This temple is being constructed 500 meters above the ground. Now, construction of the sanctum sanctorum is taking on on the ground level of this three-story temple.
There is no iron in the temple.
The unique aspect of the Ram temple is that it should be 1000 years old; preparations are being made for this. The initial step in constructing the temple’s foundation was to pour earth. The plinth has been constructed using granite stones. This granite will be topped with white marble. No iron is utilized anywhere throughout the shrine. It is estimated that the iron is 90 to 100 years old, thus cement and copper are being utilized to unite the stones. The building of the temple is being carried out in accordance with IIT’s guidelines in order to optimize the structure’s durability.
Prior to the building of the Ram Janmabhoomi Complex at Sharyu, a soil test was undertaken. After assessing the soil’s bearing capability, the foundation was prepared. When the foundation has been filled with earth, granite stones are laid on top. One stone weighs between 2.5 and 3 tons, so you can imagine how heavy these granite stones are. After constructing such a massive granite foundation, the temple is being constructed using pink stone.
The temple is being constructed using pink stones.
At the continuing building at the Ram Janmabhoomi site, a crimson flag called Dharmadhvaj has been raised above the sanctum sanctorum. Wherever the sacred flag is raised, that location is regarded as Lord Rama’s birthplace. The idol of Ramlalla will be erected at this precise location. Here, the pink stone sanctum sanctorum is being built. This stone has already been cut. The inside of the sanctum sanctorum will be constructed with white marble, while the exterior will be pink. Using pink stones, the temple of Ramlalla is being constructed. These pink stones are sourced from the Rajasthani area of Bansi Paharpur. In addition to beautifying these stones, their installation has also begun as of June 1. Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, began construction of the sanctum sanctorum by laying the first pink stone of the shrine. The committee in charge of building the temple has chosen to construct the sanctum sanctorum and pavilion exclusively on the first floor.
