The Clippers surrendered 39 points in the fourth quarter, which eventually resulted to their loss. Westbrook concluded his 37-minute performance with 14 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, and a steal.

Sincerely, I am responsible for this error. I could have been better. Everything started off well. But, just the second half was awful. And I must do a better job of assisting my teammates in the second half and fourth quarter. Hence, nobody is at fault. “But, I am responsible,” stated Westbrook.

Markelle Fultz provided the game-winning effort for Magic with 28 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Wendell Carter Jr. backed him admirably, finishing with 27 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Paul George had 30 points, three rebounds, and one assist in a losing effort for the Clippers. “We did not complete rotations. Wendell Carter shot well, but we didn’t finish rotations and we didn’t take his shot-making seriously on a few occasions,” stated George.

George was also confident that Westbrook will do well in forthcoming matchups.

George said of Westbrook, who missed three free throws in the fourth quarter, “He’s a pro.” He is a war veteran. Top 75 athlete. He will make it through it. He knows to remain confident, he understands that we trust him and have his back, so he will remain in an offensive posture. I am never concerned about Russ’ shooting. I am aware of what he contributes to the squad and his worth to it. That surpasses everything.”

“He does so many other things that I no longer care. George continued, “He plays hard, and that’s the type of player I want to play alongside.”
