A day before Ram Navami festivities, the Khargone police and local government made substantial security preparations in the city to prevent tensions similar to last year. The police went out a flag march with armored vehicles from residential colonies on Wednesday to give a simple message that there is a strong police “bandobast” to ensure that the festival is celebrated quietly and happily.
The flag march began at 2 pm in Kotwali and went through several areas.
The flag march, which began about 2:00 p.m., began at the Kotwali premises and passed several neighborhoods. In addition to the cars of collector Shivraj Singh Verma and SP Dharamveer Singh, the march included vehicles of the RAF, STF, and SAF, as well as those of the department’s senior executives.
Thursday’s Sri Ram procession in the city will be preceded by extensive preparations for law and order undertaken by the police administration and the district administration. The district administration has nominated a magistrate in every municipality within the city.
In addition, eight drones, 222 CCTVs, Rapid Action Force (RAF) soldiers, STF personnel, and SAF personnel would be positioned along the path of the parade. Eight armoured RAF vehicles, four Vajra, and police cars were present for the flag march.
