The National Democratic Congress (Congress) has lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for changing the name of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society to the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library Society.

This criticism was made on Friday. Gourav Vallabh, a spokeswoman for the Congress party, stated that the Prime Minister may be able to erase the name of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru off the wall, but he cannot erase the name from the “hearts of 140 crore Indians.” The decision to rebrand the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society was made by the Indian government on Saturday.

It was decided during a special meeting of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society to alter the organization’s name to the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library Society, as stated in an official statement issued by the Ministry of Culture.

The Vice President of the Society, Shri Rajnath Singh, also serves as the President of the Defense Minister, therefore he was in charge of presiding over the Special Meeting.

India’s architect will be remembered for a millennium.

“One man pondered, ‘How can I continue to use Panditji’s name?'” “But on the hearts of 140 crore Indians, Panditiji’s name is already thereā€¦all this makes you even smaller and Nehru’s name bigger,” Vallabh added, making a veiled assault on the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

He stated that Nehru was the architect of modern India and that the country that the world sees now was envisioned by Nehru in 1947. He also stated that Nehru was the architect of contemporary India. It was claimed that this individual will be recognized as India’s architect for the next thousand years.

“He handled India when the country was incapable of making even a needle, and he made AIIMS, IITs, and IIMs research institutions to the nation,” the head of the Congress added.

Vallabh accused Prime Minister Modi of disrespecting his predecessors and stated that Modi intends to erase even the name of BJP veteran and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from the list of past prime ministers.

You wish to delete even the name of Vajpayee ji off the list. Because you claim that nothing significant occurred before to 2014, despite the fact that Atal ji was in power for the previous seven years, he continued.

When asked to list former Prime Ministers of the country who were members of the Congress party, Vallabh stated that the names of Indira Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shashtri, and PV Narsimha Rao are still present in the minds and hearts of Indians.
