Isro will launch Chandrayaan-3. IndiaToday.in reports the satellite’s arrival at Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
The ambitious lunar mission will soon be coupled with India’s most powerful rocket, the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark-III (GSLV Mk-III), for a July Moon launch.
Chandrayaan-3 will launch in July. We are preparing to launch it in July during its orbital parameters. After Monday’s GSLVF12 launch, Isro chairman S Somnath said, “Everything is coming together.”

“This time we will definitely land,” he said. We won’t launch if there’s uncertainty.”
“Chandrayaan-3 has arrived at Sriharikota,” said a senior ISRO official. “We are about to begin integrating it with the launch vehicle in preparation for its launch to the Moon.”
The Indian space agency said the lander will land gently at a lunar spot and deploy the rover, which will undertake in-situ chemical study of the lunar surface.
Chandrayaan-3 will employ ISRO’s 2018 Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter. The orbiter, lander, and rover of the 2018 Chandryaan-2 mission were new.
Chandra’s Surface Thermophysical Experiment will measure the Moon’s thermal conductivity and temperature, the Instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity will quantify seismicity surrounding the landing location, and the Langmuir Probe will determine plasma density and fluctuations.
The rover’s Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer and Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy will establish the landing site’s elemental composition.
