It has been announced that True Detective stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson will be reuniting for a new series that will air on Apple TV+.

According to a press release issued by Apple TV+, the comedy series that has yet to be given a name has received an order for ten episodes and comes from David West Read, who was a writer for the popular sitcom “Schitt’s Creek.”

Read is also the creator of the upcoming series “The Big Door Prize” that will air on the streaming service.

The new show is an emotional love tale about an eccentric pair that centers on the unique and lovely friendship that exists between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. When both of their families moved to Matthew’s ranch in Texas, their relationship was put to the ultimate test when they were forced to coexist.

Skydance Television is going to be in charge of production for the comedy series that will air on Apple TV+.

The series will also include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell of Skydance, as well as Bill Bost and Jeremy Plager serving as executive producers with McConaughey, Harrelson, and Read.

Both McConaughey and Harrelson had already been nominated for Emmys for their roles as co-stars in the first season of the criminal thriller series “True Detective,” which was shown on HBO.
