Bholaa is the official remake of the 2013 film Kaithi, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The action film was directed by Ajay Devgn and produced by Ajay Devgn FFilms, Reliance Entertainment, T-Series Films, and Dream Warrior Productions with an approximate budget of Rs 100 crore.
The film centers on Bholaa, a prisoner who is finally returning home after ten years to meet his daughter. In addition to Devgn, the film boasts notable performances by Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, and Gajraj Rao. Abhishek Bachchan and Amala Paul make cameos in the film as well.
