It is not uncommon for Hollywood celebrities to disparage their contemporaries without realizing the damage their controversial statements could cause. In his memoir, Friends actor Matthew Perry wished death upon John Wick actor Keanu Reeves, causing an international uproar.

The statement quickly became the topic of conversation, and Perry was criticized for it. As it turns out, he has now made a deliberate decision to withdraw this section from all future editions.

Chandler Bing’s autobiography, Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing, was published last year. When he discussed the passing of original intellectuals such as River Phoenix and Heath Ledger, the conversation became controversial. He subsequently wished for Reeves’ death and later apologized for his actions.

Friends' Matthew Perry: "I Said A Stupid Thing…" 2023 2

Matthew Perry should apologize to Keanu Reeves for his controversial memoir comment.

Now, it appears that Matthew Perry wants to clear the air between him and Keanu Reeves and dispel the invisible tension that has been building up between them. Despite the fact that they have not communicated or made public appearances together, it is clear that there is still tension between them.

Now, Perry has chosen to remove his identity from all future editions of his memoir. Read on to learn all you need to know about the same.

According to a report from Comicbook, Matthew Perry has decided to remove Keanu Reeves’ name from his autobiography Friends, Lovers, and the Most Horrible Thing. “I said a stupid remark. Saturday at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, Perry told festival-goers, “It was a mean thing to do.”

“His name was retrieved because I reside on the same street. I have issued him a public apology. “His name will not appear in any future editions of the book.”

Matthew said he will apologize to Reeves when they meet.

Nevertheless, if you are oblivious to what Matthew Perry said about Keanu Reeves during an expanded recollection of his relationship with River Phoenix, Reeves is still among us. Perry wrote in his book,

“The list of geniuses who were ahead of their time is too lengthy to detail here; suffice it to say that River Phoenix, my co-star in A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, should be near the top of any such list.”

He continued, “River was a handsome man on the inside and out – too handsome for this world, as it turned out. It seems that the most talented individuals are always the ones who fall.

Why do original intellectuals such as River Phoenix and Heath Ledger perish while Keanu Reeves continues to live among us? I was funnier than River, who was a superior actor. But I held my own in our scenes, which, when I look back decades later, is no mean accomplishment.”

Matthew Perry issued a statement a few days later, after the passage had been widely discussed and criticized. Perry stated in October 2012, “I’m a huge Keanu fan.” “I arbitrarily selected a name; my error. I apologize. I would have been better off using my own identity.”
