Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being “steeped in corruption from head to toe” a day after the CBI summoned him in the excise policy case.
Kejriwal stated on Sunday that if he “is a thief, then no one in this world is innocent” and will comply with the CBI summons.
For a year, the BJP has yelled about a Delhi excise scandal. They catch someone daily and torture them into identifying Sisodia or Kejriwal. Can anyone say anything here?” Delhi CM stated.
His statement came after the Bharatiya Janata Party called the Delhi CM the “mastermind and kingpin of the chess game of graft” that put his cabinet colleagues in prison.
What’s happening on, Prime Minister? After a year of “investigation,” Rs. 100 crore changed hands; where is a single paisa? “If I give Narendra Modi Rs. 1000 crore at 7 pm on September 17, will you arrest him?” Kejriwal stated.
Kejriwal accused the CBI and ED of framing opposition individuals by accusing his former deputy, Manish Sisodia, of deleting 14 “still live” phones.
“These are those numbers,” the CM remarked, displaying an ED seizure memo. “Five of these 14 phones are in the ED and CBI, the rest are live and with an AAP volunteer or someone else…He said they lied to frame Manish Sisodia.
Kejriwal said that the ED and CBI used “third-degree torture” to get confessions from excise scam suspects who were later released.
What did they want from Chandan Reddy? “What were they trying to make him say or sign that they beat him so much that his ears got damaged?” he inquired.
The CM tweeted that CBI and ED employees will face “appropriate cases” for “perjury and producing false evidence in courts.”
Kejriwal criticized the PM when former Jammu & Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik, who he called “considered very close to Modiji,” stated the PM “didn’t mind corruption” in an interview.
“A person like Modiji, who is steeped in corruption from head to toe himself, cannot really consider corruption an issue,” Kejriwal stated.
Kejriwal said that the AAP was attacked because it offered hope to the nation.
The CM claimed that the PM intends to crush hope and continue looting for 75 years.
“I want to tell Modiji that if Kejriwal is corrupt, no one in the world is innocent…”They called me tomorrow, I will go; I want to reiterate to the PM that if I am a thief, no one in this world is honest,” he stated.
The BJP claimed Kejriwal should explain why he should not be probed for the alleged scam as he controls the Delhi Cabinet, which constituted the “corrupt excise policy” Group of Ministers.
“When the CBI summoned Arvind Kejriwal, he trembled. According to BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia, this proves he was the liquor scam’s architect.
If you’re not frightened, why don’t you answer the CBI’s questions? Why not take a polygraph/lie-detector test? “These staunchly corrupt people seem to believe that they are above the law, but that is not so,” Bhatia said.
Bhatia called the Supreme Court’s denial to allow a plea alleging the Centre’s abuse of investigation agencies against political opponents “a tight slap on the face” of Arvind Kejriwal and the 14 parties that submitted it.
Bhatia said Kejriwal is the actual leader of this chess game of fraud.
