Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, was called in for interrogation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday, April 16 over the Delhi Excise Policy issue.
In light of the fact that AAP leader and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia is now detained in connection with the same matter, and since the investigating authorities have already made multiple arrests, the summonses have been issued. In addition, Kejriwal has been served with a summons by the Goa Police Department in connection with a case involving the alleged vandalism of public property.
Kejriwal must appear at the CBI headquarters on Sunday at 11 am for excise police interrogation.
He is required to appear on April 27 for interrogation over this issue. Even though the BJP has been alleging that Chief Minister Kejriwal was the mastermind behind the alleged fraud, this is the first time that the CBI has ever called Kejriwal in for questioning in connection with the case.
In the wake of the Election Commission’s decision to formally recognize Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a national party, Kejriwal declared that all AAP officials should be ready to serve time behind bars.
County anti-national elements don’t desire growth.
While everyone waits for Kejriwal to respond to the CBI summons, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made the following statement at an event on Friday: “There are several anti-national forces in the county that do not want the country to progress.”
All of these individuals are responsible for Manish Sisodia’s incarceration. Those who were responsible for sending Sisodia to jail might be considered to be enemies of the country.
Manish Sisodia was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26 following hours of investigation into an alleged fraud using Delhi’s excise policy. This policy had been canceled after Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena suggested that the CBI investigate the allegations of irregularities.
In exchange for perks in liquor selling, the AAP is accused of collecting bribes, according to the allegations.
