In the next edition of the Indian Premier League (2023), several fresh names have been given the opportunity to compete, and one of those is the English batsman Harry Brook.
Brook has established a name for himself at the international level because of his consistent and powerful hitting, but his first season in the Indian Premier League has not been particularly fruitful for him thus far. Akash Chopra, a former Indian player, has shared his thoughts on his performance as a failure.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will play Kolkata Knight Riders after their first win. Hyderabad won their opener.
The English batsman was acquired by the organization for the staggering price of 13.25 pounds, although he has not been successful thus far despite the purchase. In three innings at the plate, he has been responsible for only 29 runs scored.
Aakash Chopra mentioned on his YouTube channel that he was talking about Hyderabad’s batting, and he mentioned that Harry Brook has not yet lived up to the expectations. They said that,
Everyone is a right handed batsman. There is a lot of depth in the batting. Even in fact, you made an expensive purchase in the form of Harry Brooke but he hasn’t found Harry Potter’s magic wand yet. His magic didn’t work. He finds it more difficult against the spinners.
Aakash Chopra says that Mayank Agarwal is not performing well.
The former player also commented on the other batters for Hyderabad, stating that although opener Mayank Agarwal is struggling with his form, captain Aiden Markram appears to be having difficulty batting against left-arm spin. Chopra stated,
Mayank Agarwal is not in very good form. Rahul Tripathi plays well but after him comes Aiden Markram. His statistics against left arm spin are quite ordinary. Then comes Heinrich Klaasen, who plays spin but bats very low. After that, you see Washington Sundar and maybe Abdul Samad playing.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad will have high hopes that the major personalities who are participating in the batting can enhance their play and help the club stay on the path to victory.
