Amazon has introduced Prime Lite, a new annual membership plan. This membership costs Rs 999 less than the standard Prime membership.
This plan includes complimentary shipping on select orders and limited access to Prime Video.
The Amazon Prime Lite membership offers the same free two-day delivery, while the slightly more expensive standard plan is limited to free one-day delivery.
Prime Lite customers who desire morning delivery on eligible products can pay an extra Rs 175 per order. In a similar fashion, this plan provides free standard shipping to eligible addresses along with Rs 25 reimbursement per order.
Prime Lite subscribers with an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card are eligible for a 5% discount on all Amazon.in purchases and a 2% cashback on all other purchases.
Amazon’s Prime Lite yearly membership costs Rs 999.
Additionally, this plan offers access to Amazon Prime Video. However, Prime Lite customers are limited to accessing Prime Video on only two devices at once, and the resolution is also limited to HD.
Prime Lite membership does not include access to Amazon Music, Prime Reading, Prime Gaming, or Prime Advantage, unlike the regular Prime membership, which costs Rs 1,499 per year.
These advantages include interest-free installment payments on smartphone purchases and up to six months of free screen replacement on select devices.
Users can subscribe to the Prime Lite plan via Amazon’s website or the Android or iOS app.
Prime Lite is Rs 500 less expensive than the standard Amazon Prime subscription for users who predominantly desire a membership for shopping and viewing content on Prime Video.
Also available are one-month and three-month Prime memberships, which cost Rs 299 and Rs 549, respectively.
