Gadar 2 Teaser: The Return of the Iconic Tara Singh, Played by Sunny Deol

Fans of Sunny Deol, rejoice! The long-awaited sequel to the actor’s action drama Gadar is returning. In the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster, Sunny Deol reprises his role as Tara Singh. If the film’s teaser, which was released on Monday, is any indication, things will only get larger and better.
The teaser is set in 1971 and features a woman’s narration stating, “This is Pakistan in 1971. Use naariyal do, teeka lagao. He will soon move to Lahore because he is the son-in-law of Pakistan. Afford him a warm welcome. Anoint him. Or he will commandeer Lahore this time)” Tara Singh exits a bus in Lahore to confront a multitude chanting anti-Indian slogans.
Ameesha Patel will co-star in Gadar 2 alongside Sunny Deol. In the sequel, the actress will reprise her role as Sakeena. Anil Sharma directed the film, which was produced by Zee Studios, Anil Sharma Productions, and MM Moviez.

Gadar, the first film, was set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan partition and centered on the love tale between Tara Singh of India and Sakeena of Pakistan. Speaking about the film, Sunny Deol stated, “Gadar – Ek Prem Katha has played a significant role in both my personal and professional life.
Tara Singh, the protagonist of Gadar, went on to become a cult icon who defied all odds and traversed all boundaries for his Family and Love. After 22 years, working with the team was a creatively enriching experience.”
Previously, Ameesha Patel shared photographs from the film’s set with the caption “Gadar 2 shot mode. Deep conversations between Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) and I (Sakeena)… Any suggestions as to what we’re discussing?”
The film will also feature Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Luv Sinha, and Simrat Kaur, in addition to Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. On August 11, Gadar 2 will be released in theaters.
